Company Synopsis
CVR/IT Consulting provides guidance and support in the effective use of Project, Program and Portfolio Management Technologies. The company, founded in May, 2002, is owned and operated by Dr. Gary J. Evans, PMP. CVR/IT Consulting provides professional consultation in all matters related to Project Management, such as:
- Implementation of governance structures and processes essential to effective Portfolio Management
- Establishment of a PMO that finds its own success solely in the success of its customers
- Delivery of a flexible, customized PM Methodology and tools
- Training (or re-training) of the PM workforce
- Implementation of Organizational Change to make it all work
- Continuing assessment of projects and people to measure the benefit

Dr. Gary J. Evans, PMP - Bio
With special focus on Project Management in all its forms, Dr. Evans has spent over 20 years as a valued member of the IT Profession. He has managed dozens of successful projects in business, R&D, public sector and not-for-profit environments, including IT department startup, PMO startup and management, business process analysis and redesign, design and development of software applications, and implementation of third party software and hardware products.
Dr. Evans has held senior positions in diverse organizations including Saber Corporation (Director), Rational Software (Program Manager), COMMON, a not-for-profit IT educational organization (V.P. of IT), and City of Raleigh (Director Enterprise Project Management Office). Throughout his career Dr. Evans has focussed on the implementation of effective Project Management and Business Process, the design and development of information systems to support that process, and management of change to ensure successful delivery of new systems.
Dr. Evans received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Pennsylvania and performed postdoctoral work in joint appointment at Duke University and the Durham VA Hospital. He holds a M.A. degree in Psychology from Bryn Mawr College, and a B.S. in Biology from Providence College. He received PMP Certification (Project Management) in February, 2002.
